Commuter Club: Check it Out

All Staff:
It was recently brought to my attention there are quite a few staff utilizing public transportation (or alternate types of transportation, e.g. car pool, bike, walk) who aren’t aware of the benefits of joining the Commuter Club.  Please read below to learn more.
Through its participation in the Sacramento Transportation Management Association (TMA), SETA offers Commuter Club, an online commute program that offers commute information, prizes, and the Emergency Ride Home program. All employees are eligible to participate, whether you drive alone, take transit, carpool, vanpool, bicycle or walk to work.

To register, go to http://www.sacregioncommuterclub.org.

To see the benefits available to you, be sure to register with employer nameSETA.

This should drop down and fill-in once you start typing.

Any other version of the employer name will not show all the commuter features the TMA offer s.

(If you are registered on the May is Bike Month site, you are already registered in Commuter Club. Use the samelogin password that you set for the bike month site.)

Commuter Club offers the following:

* Emergency Ride Home. Commuters that take transit, carpool, vanpool, or bicycle can download a voucher that pays their taxi or rental car if they have an emergency or unscheduled overtime and don’t have a car at work (up to six times a year).

When you register in Commuter Club, you will see the Emergency Ride Home banner. If you have an emergency at work, you click on it to get a Voucher to pay your taxi or rental car. When you click on the banner, the program and how to use it is explained. You can download a Test Voucher to see how the program works.

* A Trip Diary. Log your commute trips and earn points to apply for monthly online drawings for gift cards, and you can track your carbon footprint and your contribution to reducing air pollution in the Sacramento region.

* Monthly drawings. Commuters that keep a Trip Diary may enter the raffle to participate in monthly random drawings for gift cards to area restaurants, coffee shops, movie theaters, Uber credits, Target, or local shops.

*TravelInformation. Pages of information. Look for someone to carpool with, a vanpool from home to work, bicycle commuting, transit schedules and more.
(The Sacramento TMA is an independent, non-profit association, helping its members’ employees find commute alternatives since 1989. Together we address transportation and air quality issues with programs and services that are more comprehensive, cost-effective and successful than any individual employer effort could be.)
